Ornemental bamboo is an inedible invasive species that makes too mch shade for anything else to grow. It's very fast spreading and very hard to destroy.
Cursed with a buncha gnomes!
War, famine, pestilence and gnomes.
Nicely drawn bamboo..wow.
..I'm jealous now. lol
Thank you. I played in a bamboo patch a lot as a kid, its image is burned into my brain.
Big ups on the commitment to drawing all that damn bamboo. It may fuck up and ecosystem but it's fun to hide in when you're a kid.
There was a big abandonned field next to our appartment when we were kids. For half of summer, we'd get free snacks of raspberries, blackberries, and a couple other berries and plants we never knew the real name of. For kids too young to have a reliable income, that meant a lot. But then a neighbouring property planted a bamboo hedge. Within five years, the field became a lush, green, pretty desert. Yeah we played in it, but I like it better when we could forage too.
Something similar happened to us with scuppernong wild grapes in the south, delicious and plentiful until kudzu choked it out.
