I didn't know how to draw the black helicopter on a black sky, so I ended up leaving the sky negative.
I wanted to give the goblins a "barbarian" look, but what does that mean? A look at actual non industrial peoples in temperate climates say fur bikinis were never really in!
Oh man, for a moment I thought that helicopter was using a machine gun to bring that dragon down! I was surprisingly relieved when the hunter turned out to be shooting tranq darts instead!
Huge dragons aren't that common, they're trying to protect them! Those forest rangers know how to patch it up - they'll call a vet if needed.
The time for dragon slaying has gone in that world!
Good looking page! Night scenes are a little tricky but I've noticed that leaving the sky white and most everything else black the way you have it here works pretty good. If you have a strong light source like a fire or other man-made light in the scene then you could make the sky black and the other stuff white.
The part I found the hardest was the grass gradient in the last panel.
I think the black chopper on white background looks fantastic. Reminds me of Bone and the bold inking he does in it.
I loved the backgrounds in this page and the Goblins are so cute!
Thanks! Night scenes take lots of planning and even then, they don't always come out right.
