The trolls kept the animal's skin because they could use more furs, and emptied it to spare the little elves more work. But why did they take the head and hooves too? The answer is that I didn't know what properly sized prey could be found on the island, and without a face or clear leg proportions, I can evade the question for now.

But seriously, sometimes shortcuts are very much welcome, especially when one gets writer's block on something inconsequential!
Your work is very detailed and thoughtful, so much so, I never even noticed the missing animal anatomy.
I think we creative types might be a little paranoid about our work. Dreams where I am standing in front of a crowd of comic fans, all yelling "You Hack!" often have me waking up in a cold sweat...
I'm not worried about each successive page that I post, because at the time I do post them I'm happy enough with them not to redo them (I tink I only scrapped two pages so far), but I often fear that readers who choose to read the archive will find the old ones ugly and incoherent!
