If Ellen and Þrym are expected to kill each others at any time, their clan will be perceived as vulnerable, and enemies will take advantage of it. If Ellen can't speak, Weg chooses to keep Þrym, even if he's dumb.
Weg is telling Toad to assassinate a member of his own clan, against the will of his leader. He can't just order it. But Toad knew Þrym was making a mistake, and did nothing to stop him. If Weg is right, then he didn't have to be stopped, and Toad doesn't have to feel like a coward. It's very tempting to believe...
The little girl in the previous page has some raw talent at manipulation, but that level of expertise takes years of exerience.
This is shaping up to be a real interesting situation! I'm looking forward to see how this all goes down!
The 4th panel looks awesome btw. Nice lighting contrast makes the panel have more impact than the rest!

And thanks about that panel. I like to do high contrast pictures some times. Not too much, because that would get tiring to read, and hurt the scenes where drawing out every detail is preferable, but once in a while, because I like how they look.
