The word "elf" can refer to a wide variety of creatures, not just the Fantasy style elves people got used to.
Those little elves are of the awful kind. They're obligatory cannibals (a few months without a humanoid meal and they die) and rarely very healthy.
To please classical Fantasy lovers and for the hell of it (mostly for the hell of it), there are mentions of great elves who look more like the stereotype. They'll be sighted eventually, but don't hold your breath, it won't be soon.

I need to put a note here:
I added a nudity tag to this comic about two weeks ago. I'm not going for porny nudity, not even sexy most of the time, but still enough to warrant a warning.
Subscribers may not pass through the main page and see the tags, so I should have written this earlier: boobs. And stuff.

Didn't even bother to put him out of his misery first...

Yeah, there's no good excuse for that, she may need some anthropoid flesh to live, being sadistic about it was perfectly gratuitous!

Lene is probably going to settle into recurring character status. Tiny poisonous predators could come and go and only serve as obstacle to the protagonists, but that one is actively evil!

Oh man! I can see it now, a brand new entry in the D&D Monster manual: 'Classical Elf' - A savage, cannibal tribe found deep in the Avacado Jungle of death!

I like this version you are using. Definitely a break from the common everyday Elf.

To be honest, I wasn't even trying to break from the stereotype. When I think "elf", Santa's workers and other types of little people come to my mind before the Fantasy variant.

I don't know the Monster Manual in depth, but I'd be surprised if there weren't one option or another for tiny cannibals!
(My group is made of artists and writers, we love our made-up crap too much to use a lot of creatures from the MM.)

Brutal! These elves are intimidating! And here I thought that injured elf's day wouldn't get any worse!

He's past the bad day event horizon; it can only go worse and worse and worse!

On the upside, he won't have another bad day again...
