Ellen knows nothing about feminism. Her clan sold her to Þrym's clan when she was thirteen years old, and she never wondered if there was anything wrong with that. She doesn't know the chief's offer is accidentally sexist. But he implied that she didn't belong among warriors, and she knows that's an insult.
By the way, the chief is a cameo of Ehcu (I don't know of any personal galery of his to link to, sorry) who was brave enough to be a DM for a dnd group made of comic authors, and he used a police chief NPC to give us missions. He appears to have kept his sanity, unexplainably. Actual Ehcu doesn't say accidentally sexist things, don't worry. Though he may argue that he says accidentally sexy things all the time.
Bacon Whiskey to the face! That'll learn em' gooood!
I like Ellen more and more each page!
Ellen has character!
Yeah I'm growing fond of her too, especially since I also know what she does in the next several chapters.
Damn! She isnt messing around! She was ready to take his head off with that throw...and nearly did!!
Don't worry, heads are harder than they look!
